AUPET has introduced separate waste collection on campuses

Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, together with the "PlastNet Network", takes care of the ecology of Almaty and the planet as a whole. Therefore, we are implementing separate waste collection on our campuses. For the implementation of the project "Separate waste - we have no other planet!" enterprises that collect and process secondary raw materials were involved.

The goal was to educate students in the field of ecology and develop their environmental protection skills. installation of 111 specialized eco-boxes for the separate collection of waste (plastic, glass, aluminum and paper) was carried out with the support of the PlastNet Network. In the near future, all students and teachers will be trained on the rules of separate waste collection. Eco-Club will be formed to control the sustainability of the system. Its participants will be able to expand their knowledge in the field of ecology.
