The long-awaited and grandiose event "Initiation into Students 2022" was held at the Reception House "Bakshasaray" on October 26, 2022. It was held for first-year students of Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.

The peculiarity of this Initiation was that this year the event was held in the format of the championship. Teams from all four institutions took part in the event. Throughout the month, despite all the difficulties, the students showed their unity and resilience. They combined study with rehearsals. The jury consisting of 4 Directors of the Institutes and such well-known media personalities of Kazakhstan as: Zhalgas Yeleusinov, Miranov Araylym and Anel chose the winner.

The Institute of Information Technologies became the Winners of the championship cup 2022 of Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.

Kajdenbek Aziz, head of the Youth Resource Center of Almaty; Zhanataev Danat Zhanataevich, chairman of the republican branch trade union "Parasat"; Akezhan Kenesov, chairman of the youth branch of the Amanat party "Zhastar Rukhy" in Almaty, as well as representatives of the city public organization "G 36" came to congratulate the first-year students of AUPET.

The rector of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev Sagintayeva Saule Savetovna was awarded the Order "Kurmet" of the Kazakhstan branch of trade union "Parasat" for her contribution to the development and support of the trade union movement. Temirbekov Aidyn, Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee of the University, became the laureate of the award of the branch trade union of Kazakhstan "Parasat - 2022".

     Upon completion of the official part of the Initiation, our first-year students took part in an entertaining and extremely exciting program of the unofficial part. Artists: Shiza, AKIM and Jaman T. were the headliners. MC DIK SAR, MC Segiz together with Dj Slim, Dj Janik, Dj Stell were the hosts of the event.
