Solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of the Republic

On October 25, a solemn meeting was held dedicated to the national holiday - the Day of the Republic. The meeting, which was attended by faculty and university students, was held in the assembly hall. The Rector of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications Saule Sagintayeva addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, congratulated the university staff and wished everyone creative success. The director of the Department for Youth Policy Abdullina Zarema Alfredovna told the participants about the history of the holiday. After the solemn meeting, a festive concert was held. It was prepared by the Department of Youth Policy with the participation of the trade union committee of students and student clubs: “Ulagat”, “Unix”, “Kos Alka”, “StudiA315”. The concert was held in one breath. The whole hall was fascinated looking at the stage, where dombra players, singers, dancers performed and poems were read. The strongest impression on audience was made by the performance "Friendship of Peoples". It was prepared in the form of a flash mob. The final song "Atameken" was sung live by 25 student activists. In a single impulse, the hall rose and sang a song.
