Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences of the Department “Thermal Power Plants” Genbach Alexander Alekseevich celebrates his 70th birthday on December 26, 2022.
Genbach Alexander Alekseevich was born in Alma-Ata, Kazakh SSR.
Alexander Alekseevich studied at the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute of Alma-Ata and graduated from the Almaty Institute of Power Engineering with a degree in Heat Power Engineering. After graduating from Postgraduate School, Genbach Alexander Alekseevich successfully defended of his candidate dissertation at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
Genbach Alexander Alekseevich successfully completed his doctoral studies at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University with the defense of his doctoral dissertation from 1990 to 1992.
Genbach A.A. works at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev as a professor. He lectures on "Steam Turbines of Thermal Power Plants and Nuclear Power Plants", "Methods of Scientific Research", "Increasing the Efficiency and Reliability of Heat Exchange Equipment Using Porous Structures" and "Modern Problems of Thermal Power Engineering and Thermal Technologies" with great professionalism.
Professor Genbach Alexander Alekseyevich is a world-class scientist in the field of power engineering. He is a well-known scientist in development of methods and devices in capillary-porous systems in Thermal Power Plants (boilers, turbines, heat exchangers, dust and gas purifiers, flame-jet burners of rocket type, stress wave control systems, earthquake screens, cyclone furnaces of detonation type, cryogenic heat exchangers, devices to solve food program in Thermal Power Plants).
Genbach Alexander Alekseevich supervises research work, teaches students of bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs. More than fifty students of bachelor's and master's programs and two PhD students have successfully graduated from the university under his guidance.
Professor Genbach Alexander Alekseyevich makes presentations and reports at conferences published in the Web of Sience (Clarivate) database: Serbia, Poland, Bulgaria, RK, RF.
Alexander Alekseyevich's scientific papers have been published in top-rated international peer-reviewed journals with Q1, Q2, Q3, (quartile) and with a percentile greater than 35% with a high impact factor, in particular, in such journals as “Energy” Thomson Reuters, IF=8.51, 98%, “Thermal Science”, “Energies”, “Thermal Mass Transfer and Thermodynamics” (USA) (60 papers total).
A.A. Genbach has published more than 535 scientific and methodical works, including 50 certificates of authorship and patents, 6 monographs, study guides and lecture notes.
Energy, enthusiasm, high scientific potential, and a professional modern outlook on the problems of thermal power engineering allowed A.A. Genbach to achieve great success in his activities. His rating at the university is invariably high - he is always in the top ten among professors, and has a Hirsch index of six.
Professor Genbach Alexander Alekseyevich was a member of the Expert Council on the problem of protecting cities and industrial enterprises from earthquakes, Scientific Councils for thesis defense, Scientific Committees of international companies Web of sience, Thompson Reuters, Scopus, the Republican Society of Inventors and Rationalizers and the Presidential Council on the scientific problem of protecting cities from earthquakes and accidents during many years of work. Alexander Alekseevich was an expert of the "National Innovation Fund" as well as an expert and co-author in the development of normative and technical documentation for “Intergas”, “Kaztransoil’, “Tengizchevroil”, “Alamunaigaz,” Ministry of Energy, “Kaztranscom” and “Kara-Chaganak”.
For many years of fruitful work Professor Genbach Alexander Alekseyevich was awarded the badge "Honored Power Engineer. Kazakhstan Electric Power Association", the anniversary medal "100 years of the GOELRO plan", as well as certificates and letters of gratitude from the university administration.
All multifaceted labor activity of Alexander Alekseevich is marked by tireless research, active life position, ability to be in the center of interesting scientific experiments, high requirements to his scientific and pedagogical work.
