ROUND TABLE: \"Discussion of the institutional development of the energy industry in the face of modern challenges\"

The round table was organized at Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev on December 26, 2022. The theme of the round table was: “Discussion of the institutional development of the energy industry in the face of modern challenges”.

The Representatives of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; JSC "Samruk-Energo"; "KEGOC"; Kazakhstan Association "Solar Energy"; JSC "Kazakhstan Operator of Electricity and Power Market "; the "Council of Telecom Operators to Consider the Development of the Telecommunications Industry of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan"; Association of legal entities "Kazakhstan Electric Power Association"; JSC "Science Fund"; associations of legal entities "Union of Energy Engineers of the Republic of Kazakhstan"; JSC "Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants" took part in the round table.

The awards to the AUPET employees from the “Kazakhstan Electric Power Association” were presented before the meeting in a solemn atmosphere:

1. “Hardworking Power Engineer”. Kazakhstan Electricity Association - Sagintayeva Saule Savetovna;

2. “Honorary Power Engineer”. Kazakhstan Electricity Association - Viktor Ivanovich Dmitrichenko.

Individual employees of AUPET were also encouraged by the Certificate of Honor of the Kazakhstan Electric Power Association:

1. Kabdushev Bulat Zholamanovich;

2. Bektimirov Anur Talgatovich;

3. Kurpenov Bakhyt Kasimovich;

4. Abdurakhmanov Abdugani Abduzhalilovich;

5. Ibraeva Lidia Kuandykovna.

Issues of the current state and problems of the energy industry, modern technologies and trends in sustainable energy development were discussed at the meeting. The project for the creation of the Research Institute of Power Engineering and Telecommunications of the AUPET was proposed. The main goal of the Scientific Research Institute of Power Engineering and Telecommunications of AUPET is to create a center of competence to solve urgent problems in the development of the energy and info-communication industries. The proposal to establish a Scientific Research Institute was supported by all the participants of the Round Table.

         In her closing speech, the Rector of AUPET noted the successful work of the Round Table. Sharp and topical issues of the current state of the energy industry were discussed. The Rector emphasized the special consolidating role of the university in matters of science and innovation.
