AUES IT - start 1st Republican Olympiad programming

From March 30-31, the 2nd round of the 1st Republican Olympiad in programming AUES IT-Start was held on the basis of the IT-engineering department of the Institute of Information Technologies. On March 30, a three-hour sports programming contest was held, in which 46 schoolchildren and college students from different regions of our Republic (Almaty, Taraz, Kyzylorda) competed with each other. The AUES IT-Start Olympiad was held in the format of the ACM World Programming Championship on the Hackerrank platform. Participants were presented with 13 (A-N) problems of varying complexity and topics (conditional constructs, loops, structures, lists, arrays, etc.) in programming languages: C++, Java and Python. Problems (A-K) were developed by the mentor, and problems L, M, N were developed by the 4th year student of the SIB educational program Telbayeva Tansholpan. 

After the end of the contest, the participants had lunch in our canteen and went to the Medeu high-mountain skating rink. We climbed 870 steps to the platinum, breathed fresh mountain air and took memorable photos and selfies. Today, the results of the Olympiad became known, the prize-winners and winners were determined. The jury members awarded places according to the number of solved problems and the corresponding points given by the system (if the solved problems are equal).

1st place (300,000 tenge) – Tsoi David, RFMS (8 problems, 10.23 points)

2nd place (200,000 tenge) - Adil Nurzhanov, CAPEC (8 problems, 9.57 points)

3rd place (100,000 tenge) - Asylkhan Ali, CAPEC (7 problems, 9.92 points)

Olympiad winners:

Diploma of the 1st degree - Mahanbet Alikhan, Lyceum No. 92 (5 tasks, 10.32 points)

Diploma of the 2nd degree - Arkabay Miras, Lyceum No. 24 (5 tasks, 8.95 points)

Diploma of the 3rd degree - Baishuakov Magzhan, Lyceum No. 24 (4 tasks, 7.79 points)

The jury members also awarded additional prizes in the following categories: for originality in solving problems - Toktarbay Danial, gymnasium No. 175; for perseverance in solving problems - Meyrambek Hasana, school No. 244 named after. Y.Zhakaeva.

All participants who solved at least one problem received certificates for their active participation in the Olympiad, and their leaders received letters of thanks for training gifted students.
