Equipment from \"Ordamed\" for the specialty \"Biotechnical and Medical Systems\"

Cooperation on the implementation of a joint educational program between the company “Ordamed” and the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev is reaching a qualitatively new level.

Training in the educational program "Biotechnical and Medical Systems and Devices" is carried out on the basis of the department "Automation and Control". This specialty is technical. For example, AUPET has a long-standing partnership with St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI", where students have been studying medical technology for more than half a century.

On the other hand, the educational program "Biotechnical and Medical Systems and Devices" involves the study of a number of subjects related to medicine. Therefore, the National Research Center for Surgery named after A. Syzganov is a co-educational partner.

In addition, companies operating in the field of production, operation and repair of medical equipment are involved in the educational process. An important partner of the department "Automation and Control" is the company "Ordamed". It is one of the largest Kazakh manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment.

The educational laboratory "Ordamed", equipped with a variety of modern equipment, is being created for students of the educational program "Biotechnical and medical systems and devices" within the framework of mutually beneficial cooperation. The company donates to the university such expensive medical equipment as electrocardiographs, a ventilator, a central monitoring station, patient monitors, an incubator, and others.

- We understand the importance and necessity of training engineers in the field of production and maintenance of complex medical equipment, as there is an acute shortage of specialists in this field on the labor market, - says General Director of LLP “Ordamed Almaty” Yulia Anokhina. - Conscious of our responsibility and interest in highly qualified engineers, we transfer modern medical equipment to the Department “Automation and Control”. The goal is for students to gain practical experience in the process of studying the device and software of medical equipment.

The equipping of the educational laboratory is only one of the steps towards the joint implementation of the educational program "Biotechnical and Medical Systems and Devices". Students will be able to undergo industrial and undergraduate practice in 17 branches of the company “Ordamed” throughout Kazakhstan. In addition, part of the practical and laboratory classes will be held at the company's production sites.
