Energo University and Dahua Technology have agreed to create an educational ecosystem.

Cooperation with global companies actively represented in Kazakhstan is an important direction of development of Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev). The continuation of this activity was the conclusion of a memorandum of partnership with Dahua Technology Corporation.

Dahua Technology is a global IT company offering its solutions, products and services in more than 180 countries and regions for such key areas of activity as manufacturing, education, energy, transport, finance, etc. Dahua is headquartered in China. The company is known worldwide for its technological innovations and investments in research and development. To implement this activity, the Institute of Advanced Technologies, the Institute of Big Data, the Central Research Institute, the Institute of Cybersecurity and the Institute of Smart City have been created.

Energo University's cooperation with Dahua Technology will be carried out based on the Institute of Automation and Information Technology, which includes three departments: Automation and Management, IT Engineering and Cybersecurity.

- If the company wants to achieve long-term success in the region, it must invest in education, create an ecosystem that will help students develop a real interest in our activities, said Zhu Tianxin, Regional president of Dahua Technology. – For us, cooperation with the university is very important, not only in the field of education development, but also in the field of science development and participation in joint projects.

           At Energy University, the Chinese company plans to participate in the creation of an educational ecosystem that involves the development of all the necessary competencies for students to successfully work in the future.

 - I am glad that the values that we consider the most important in training specialists who meet the highest standards of the labor market fully coincide with those values that determine the activities of Dahua Technology, – said Rector of Energo University Murat Syzdykov.

The Memorandum of Cooperation provides for joint activities both for improving the educational process and the research field, organizing all types of internships and further employment in Dahua offices not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad.

During their visit to Energo University, representatives of the company gave a lecture to students about the experience of using artificial intelligence and machine learning methods in processing data streams in real time and their implementation in smart video surveillance devices.

- We were very impressed by the educational laboratories on automation, information technology and cybersecurity created at the University in collaboration with such world-famous companies as National Instruments, Schneider Electric, Huawei Siemens, Apple, Honeywell, Cisco, - said in conclusion Zhu Tianxin. – We are also planning to open a Dahua Academy and our training laboratory at the University, equipped with advanced equipment and software.
