The Republican Olympiad in Physics and Mathematics among future power engineers was held at Energo University

On December 8, the Republican Olympiad in Physics and Mathematics among future power engineers for students of 2-3 courses was held at Energo University with the support of Samruk-Energo JSC. It was attended by students of our university, as well as students from SKRI, KGU, KazNU, WKUIT and ALT.

The Olympiad is held at Energo University annually with the aim of professional orientation of future specialists, popularization of energy-related professions, identification of gifted youth, improving the quality of training of specialists, Capacity building for research, administration and production.

The knowledge was tested in two sections - «Theoretical foundations of electrical engineering» and «Theoretical foundations of heat engineering».

According to the regulations on the Olympiad, its winners are awarded with grants and scholarships from «Samruk-Energo» JSC and diplomas from Energo University:

 

1st place is a grant from «Samruk-Energo» JSC to pay for further undergraduate studies, in

the case of a student studying under a state educational grant – payment of a scholarship for one academic year in the amount of 75 thousand tenge per month, diploma of the 1st degree;

2nd place – scholarship of «Samruk-Energo» JSC in the amount of 40 thousand tenge per month for one

academic year, diploma of the 2nd degree;

3rd place – scholarship of «Samruk-Energo» JSC in the amount of 30 thousand tenge per month for one

academic year, diploma of the 3rd degree;

4th place – scholarship of «Samruk-Energo» JSC in the amount of 20 thousand tenge per month for one

academic year, diploma of the 4th degree
