«Energy transition and renewable energy in Central Asian countries»: advanced training courses for colleagues from Kyrgyzstan have been completed at Energo University

From December 4 to 8, Energo University held advanced training courses on the topic «Energy transition and renewable energy in Central Asian countries» on the basis of the Institute of energy and green technologies within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation for partners from Kyrgyzstan, including representatives of the Association «Women in energy of the Kyrgyz Republic» of the Ministry of energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.

- During the week-long course, participants discussed opportunities, shared their experience and vision of implementing the transformation of the energy sector in Central Asia by improving professional skills in the field of renewable energy sources, - said Ainur Begimbetova, Director of the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies at Energo University.

With the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for the purpose of practical training, the course participants visited the Kapchagai hydroelectric power station named after Sh. Chokin and the wind power station in the Shelek corridor.

These facilities belong to the «green» energy sector and are considered as significant and sustainable elements of the foundation of the decarbonization strategy. The main goal of the strategy is to achieve carbon neutrality of the Republic of Kazakhstan by 2060 in relation to the use of energy and other natural resources, including through the active use of renewable energy sources.
