Psychologists of Energo University organized a seminar for students on the problems of violence in the modern world

On December 6, The Psychological Service of Energo University organized a thematic seminar for students. Speakers were invited: Tatyana Mishina - Deputy Director for the Prevention of Social Orphanhood in a PEI «SOS Children’s Village of Almaty», Sabina Kenzhina - psychologist from the «Union of Crisis Centers» and Marzhan Iztleuova - psychologist of the crisis center «Zhan-Saya». They raised the following critical issues:

• Types and signs of violence. Ways to prevent it
• How to recognize abusive relationships at an early date
• Characteristics of potential aggressors

The participants showed great interest and activity. Openly, as well as anonymously, through QR, they asked experts questions of their own concern on the topic of violence and received detailed answers to them.

Specialists provided useful recommendations to students, and also shared the contact numbers of services that provide first aid to people who have been mistreated or abused.
