ENERGO UNIVERSITY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN APPROVED AT THE ANHALT UNIVERSITY (GERMANY)

During the trip to Germany, the delegation of Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev) discussed issues related to the coordination of the content of three double-degree educational programs with the Anhalt University.

Anhalt University is one of the best universities of applied sciences and has been cooperating with Energo University in various fields for a number of years in Germany. A new stage in the development of partnerships was the development of a two–degree master's degree program – «Automation and Control» and two bachelor's degree programs – «System Engineering» and «Biomedical Engineering». As agreed, Energo University students will spend their second year in Germany. And undergraduate students will be able to study there in the third and fourth courses.  As a result, students will receive two diplomas - Energo University and Anhalt University.

To discuss all issues of cooperation on the joint organization of the educational process Anhalt University with a working visit delegation of Energo University composed of: Director of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies Igor Fedorenko, Head of the Electronic Engineering Department Sandugash Orazalieva and Professor of the Department «Automation and Management» Svetlana Khan.

The main result of the visit was the approval of all three educational programs. They are recommended for approval by the Council of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Engineering and Industrial Engineering of the University of Anhalt.

-  We are pleased that our cooperation is being further developed, - said the Dean of the faculty, professor of Anhalt University Mark Einzmann. -   I believe that Energo University, for example, has a very interesting educational program «Automation and Management». We have a lot in common. We also see a serious attitude to the implementation of joint educational programs from Energo University.     

The approval of two-diploma educational programs was a natural outcome of the joint work started in 2022. Then Mark Einzman and his colleagues visited Almaty to get acquainted with the organization of the educational process at Energo University. During their visit, the guests from Germany noted that our students have the opportunity to study modern industrial equipment in the educational laboratories of the department «Automation and Management», created in cooperation with world famous manufacturers, such as National Instruments and Honeywell (USA), Festo and Siemens, Schneider Electric (France). Last year in Almaty, Mark Einzman also visited the National Scientific Center for Surgery named after A. Syzganov, where the «Biotechnical and medical systems and devices» educational program is implemented together with Energo University. 

During the current trip to Anhalt University, Energo University representatives were shown laboratories for automation, robotic systems and biomedical technology, equipped with modern and expensive equipment.  The opportunity to work with this equipment will now be at students and undergraduates of our university, who will receive in 2024 such educational programs «System engineering», «Biotechnical and medical systems and devices» and «Automation and Management».
