Energо University summed up the sports results of the year

On New Year's Eve, the university's athletes were honored at Energо University. A solemn meeting on summing up the
sports results of the year was held in the assembly hall of the university and gathered all active participants in sports life.

Today, Energo University can rightfully be proud of its athletes and their sporting achievements. So, the futsal team
created this year, led by coach Nikolai Bocharnikov, made an incredible leap and achieved the title of champions of the
Republic of Kazakhstan. The national teams in other game sports show excellent results: basketball (coach Askar
Kairliev) and volleyball (coach Vitaly Erdshtein). This year, for the first time, Energo University hosted student volleyball
city competitions for the Rector's Cup of our university, in which our team took 3rd place in a hard struggle. In the
coming year, the volleyball players plan to go further - to create a city student volleyball league and hold championships.
Good results last year were shown by our chess players (coach of the university team Alexander Katanaev), and the corn
hall team (the guys took first place in the Almaty tournament), as well as athletes competing in individual sports - square
checkers, judo, freestyle wrestling, powerlifting, jiu-jitsu, handball, Kazakh kuresi, sambo, boxing, Greco-Roman
wrestling.
Rector of Energo University Murat Syzdykov congratulated the athletes and their mentors, wishing them new
achievements and success in the coming year. He also noted that the university management is always attentive to all
student initiatives and achievements and is ready to provide comprehensive support.
Athletes, their mentors, as well as volunteers who ensure the holding of sports competitions on the territory of the
university, were awarded with letters of thanks and memorable gifts.
