Energо University (AUPET) hosts a Winter school for teachers

Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev) holds a «Winter School-2024” for the teaching staff during the student holidays. Over the course of two weeks, during a series of trainings, 200 teachers pump up their knowledge necessary for professional and personal growth.

- The Winter School is aimed at improving professional knowledge and developing the competencies of the teaching staff, team building, - said Aigul Sarenova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Energo University.

Winter School speakers specializing in education, psychology, management, and digital literacy share their techniques and life hacks with the audience.

The training topics cover various aspects of the teacher's work: Academic policy with an emphasis on academic freedom and independence of students; Project based learning; Constructivism: practical aspects; Presentation skills; Publication activity; Development of educational programs with a focus on the development strategy of the university.

The participants of the School were also able to take part in master classes «How to learn English» and «How to use Scopus to prepare a successful publication». In addition, at the end of the Winter School, teachers will have the opportunity to participate in a training on the organization of a digital workplace from representatives of Microsoft.
