Energo University teachers have improved their qualifications at the SIEMENS Educational Center

The first seminar on the topic "DIGSI 5 Basic Course" was held at Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications) at the SIEMENS training Center for the teaching staff of the Departments of Electric Power Engineering and control Automation. This course allowed students to master the minimum skills of working with RPA devices of the SIPTOTEC 5 line.

Teachers of the Institutes of Energy and Green Technologies and Automation and Information Technology are trained by leading service engineers of the Electrification and Automation Department of the Intelligent Infrastructure Department of Siemens LLP.

- Our seminars provide knowledge in the field of relay protection, automation and digitalization of energy facilities, - said Sergey Shestakov, one of the organizers of the training, a leading engineer for the power management service of Siemens LLP. - Teachers received practical skills in working with our company's equipment in accordance with their profile (RPA, APCS), which allowed them to improve their skills. At the end of the seminar, each participant is given a certificate of completion of training

In the near future, thanks to the acquired skills, Energo University teachers will begin conducting laboratory work for students at the SIEMENS training center.

The SIEMENS Training Center was opened at Energo University with the assistance of Siemens Kazakhstan in December 2023. It is designed for seminars, trainings, laboratory work on relay protection, automation and digitalization in the electric power industry and is the only one of its kind in Central Asia.

On the basis of the Center, current specialists in the field of REA and ACS, teachers and students can practice practical skills of interaction with the most modern and advanced relay protection and automation equipment used at energy facilities in leading companies in Kazakhstan, as well as gain in-depth knowledge in the field of digitalization.
