At Energo University, students met with Professor Fuad Hajiyev
Fuad Hajiyev, a well-known teacher and professor not only in our country but also abroad, who has made a significant contribution to the education of IT specialists in Kazakhstan, met with first-year students of Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications) studying in the IT field.
"Why does an IT specialist need a university?", "What is the mission of the university?", "Does education make you happy?" and many other philosophical questions were discussed by Fuad Bey with students in the format of an active dialogue. The lecturer shared his story of self-choice of profession. Fuad Hajiyev spoke about the role of mathematics in the life of any IT specialist, and also presented to students the updated mission of Energo University, focused on providing a sustainable educational environment for the transfer of values and the development of intellectual potential through scientific research in the fields of energy, space, communications and IT technologies for the benefit of society.
First-year students studying in the fields of "Information Systems", "Software Engineering", "Computer Engineering and Software" and Computer science ("Informatics") were able to identify for themselves the seemingly not obvious, but very important advantages of studying at the university. In addition to obtaining high-quality knowledge, these are networking skills, the ability to learn, take a critical approach to evaluating the information received and be aware of responsibility for the decisions made.
Fuad Hajiyev noted that today IT technologies have entered almost any sphere of human activity, be it manufacturing, medicine or finance, law enforcement agencies or public service. This gives IT specialists very wide opportunities for employment and the realization of their abilities.
Concluding the meeting, Fuad Hajiyev reminded the students of Energo University about the opportunity to join in listening to his lectures on mathematics in English. After all, mathematics, as you know, is the basis of all the actual engineering sciences.
