A guest lecture on \"Upgrading to 5G: Facts and rumors\" was held at Energo University
On February 12, as part of the development of the "Alumni Club ENERGO" movement at Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev), a meeting was held with a past graduate, and the current students of our university, an engineer-designer from "Uni Grand Engineering" LLP, Shyngys Nurbolatov.
"5G technology encompasses various spheres of our current life - from making payments worldwide and responding to emergencies to organizing distance learning,"- Shyngys Nurbolatov noted in his speech. "This technology has immense potential to transform the working world, the global economy, and human life."
The lecture was conducted in an interactive format. The audience asked questions of interest, and the speaker responded in detail and engagingly.
The attendees were interested in many topics:
What frequencies does 5G technology operate on in Kazakhstan? What are the advantages of the new technology? What are the norms for electromagnetic radiation domestically and abroad? What types of MIMO antennas are used in upgrading the network to 5G, and what are their advantages? How to boost the mobile signal indoors? Which manufacturers' equipment is most often used in the network? How is the 5G network different? Why is mobile connectivity currently poor in some areas? How will the implementation of 5G help the average user? And many, many more.
Both students and teachers actively participated in the interactive lecture. The meeting was very informative and productive. In conclusion, the listeners and organizers thanked the lecturer for the new knowledge gained.
