Energo University and the Polytechnic College of Taldykorgan have agreed on cooperation

The signing of a memorandum of understanding was the result of a dialogue between the leadership of Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev) and the Higher Polytechnic College of the city of Taldykorgan.

Graduates from colleges across different regions of Kazakhstan become students of Energo University every year.

In turn, the university is always ready to interact with institutions of technical and vocational education (TVET). At the end of January, staff members of the IT Engineering Department - head Lyailya Tukenova and senior lecturer Azamat Kalpebayev - visited the Higher Polytechnic College during their trip to Taldykorgan.

In February, Energo University hosted visitors including the director of the Higher Polytechnic College of Taldykorgan, Shyngys Nurgozhaev, and the deputy director for educational work, Bakhtiyar Satkulov. The purpose of the visit was to conclude a memorandum of cooperation. The mutual interest is due to the similar directions of educational activities of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies at Energo University and the Polytechnic College of Taldykorgan. Thus, the university offers training in educational programs such as "Information Systems," "Software Engineering," Computer Science, "Computing Machinery and Programming," "Information Security Systems," "Information Security of Financial Structures." Meanwhile, the Polytechnic College of Taldykorgan offers training in specialties such as "Computing Machinery and Programming," "Information Security Systems," among others.

The official meeting at Energo University was opened by its rector, Murat Syzdykov, with participation from the vice-rector for academic affairs, Aigul Sarenova, and the director of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies, Igor Fedorenko. During the discussion, the main directions of cooperation were identified. College leaders also became acquainted with the capabilities of the educational laboratories of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies, created in partnership with companies such as Apple, Huawei, National Instruments, Schneider Electric, Huawei Siemens, Apple, Honeywell, Cisco, Kaspersky, Dr.Web.

"We came to your university because for the further development of the college, we need integration with higher education to acquire new knowledge and experience," noted Shyngys Nurgozhaev, the director of the Higher Polytechnic College of Taldykorgan. "Another goal is to improve the qualifications of our teachers. We know that Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications produces the strongest specialists. Therefore, we want our graduates to go specifically to your university."

From their side, the leadership of Energo University emphasized that the university is ready to assist and open to fruitful joint activities with colleges from all regions of Kazakhstan.
