Representatives from Energo University have joined the Kazakhstan Sectoral Council for Qualifications in the field of space activities
According to the order of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Sectoral Council for Qualifications in the field of space activities has included representatives from Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev) - the Director of the Institute of Communication and Space Engineering Kuanish Alipbaev, and the Head of the Department of Space Engineering Sanat Tөlendіұly.
The aim of the Sectoral Council is to coordinate issues related to the development of professional qualifications in the space sector.
Within the Council, representatives from Energo University will participate in the process of approving the sectoral qualification frameworks developed by the ministry, in coordinating professional standards, proposals for their development and updating, in making amendments and additions to the registry of professions, and much more.
"We did not join the Sectoral Council by chance," explained Kuanish Alipbaev, the Director of the Institute of Communication and Space Engineering. "Today, our institute, with its rich scientific and educational base and a strong faculty, prepares high-quality specialists for Kazakhstan's space sector. And we understand well in which direction we need to move to develop this sector. Joining the Sectoral Council was a great honor for us and a confirmation of our professional competence."
Currently, the Institute of Communication and Space Engineering employs a team of scientists recognized not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad. The high level of training of specialists is confirmed by the results of the participation of the institute's students, graduate students, and doctoral students in inter-university, regional, and international competitions, Olympiads, contests, and conferences.
Notably, in February of this year, a modern scientific and educational hub on space technologies with a Flight Control Center was opened at the institute, under the Department of Space Engineering. Thanks to this, students had the opportunity to acquire skills in working with digital transceivers, organizing communication with satellites in various orbits, and conducting radio communication with radio amateurs from around the world. It is planned that the newly opened hub will become one of the elements of the space infrastructure not only of Energo University but also of all scientific organizations in Kazakhstan working in the field of space activities.
