Energo University teams became finalists in the satellite design and assembly competition
The finalists of the first stage of the prestigious KAZROCETS satellite design tournament-2024 have been identified.
The competition is organized by the public foundation for rocketry and model aircraft in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, KAZROCKETS, with the support of Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumbarbek Daukeev) and the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Participants' ages range from 16 to 22 years.
Two teams from Energo University made it to the top ten finalists.

The first stage of the competition was held in an online format. The teams were tasked with correctly filling out a special document, writing program code, and creating a 3D model of the satellite on SolidWorks. Each task was evaluated by a competent jury, resulting in the selection of the top 10 teams. Now, the participants are set to demonstrate their knowledge and skills during a face-to-face hackathon, which will take place in Astana from April 10 to 12.
