Energo University is forming a professional drone racing team
A team for participating in republican and international drone racing championships is being formed at Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev).
This became possible thanks to the cooperation between the university and the Ashyk Aspan Foundation – a foundation that deals with the development of unmanned aerial systems in Kazakhstan. The mentors are professional pilots and coaches of the Aspan team (which is among the TOP-10 teams in the world according to the "Future Games-2024" results, held in Kazan, Russia).
"Our goal is to form a professional team from Energo University students and faculty that will represent the university and, in the future, the country at various drone racing championships," said Qaisar Esengali, the technical director of the Aspan team.
Currently, the first introductory meetings have been held, the selection of participants has begun, and a preliminary team composition has been formed. The organizers have developed a training and development program for the Energo University team, which includes, besides training, participation in republican and international competitions, holding internal competitions within the university to develop the drone field, developing new drone prototypes by students, their assembly and piloting, as well as participating in startup accelerators for the use of drones in various fields of activity.
Everyone interested in joining the team still has the opportunity to do so. For this, it is necessary to contact by phone: 8 (776) 547-57-60 (contact person Vladislav), or join the pilot club group on Telegram at t.me/auesdrone.
