At Energo University (Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after Gumarbek Daukeev), the collection of humanitarian aid for the residents of Kazakhstan regions affected by floods continues
The university administration and the student charity club at Energo University have organized a collection point for humanitarian aid for our compatriots forced to leave their homes due to the floodwaters.
Throughout the week, compassionate students and staff have been bringing essential items to the aid point: bedding, personal hygiene items, food, clothing, medications, baby food, diapers, and even toys.
The first batch of humanitarian aid collected by Energo University has already been handed over to the city volunteer center for further dispatch to the residents of the affected regions.
The university continues to collect aid.
Furthermore, it has been decided to allocate educational grants from Energo University (for energy specialties, Group of Educational Programs V062) for rural residents of the flood-affected regions - one for each region. Detailed information about this can be obtained from the university's admissions office by phone: +77273231175, +77076006493.
Rector of Energo University Murat Syzdykov:
- We - both staff and students - stand in solidarity with the president of our country, who noted that at this difficult moment for Kazakhstan, unity and cohesion of our society are more important than ever. And we will continue to provide feasible assistance to our compatriots until the situation stabilizes.
