Forever Young: Energo University Holds Alumni Reunion
On April 13th, Energo University (Almaty University of Power engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumbarbek Daukeev) hosted another event for graduates as part of the development of the "Alumni Club ENERGO" movement. This time, 17 alumni from the 2007 class of the electrical engineering faculty visited their Alma Mater.
The university's alumni club motto, "All roads lead to Energo," was fittingly celebrated. Current students welcomed the visitors with songs, dances, and accordion music. Before embarking on a nostalgic journey, each guest was robed in a graduation gown and asked to sign a special poster for posterity.
The alumni met with Energo University's rector, Murat Syzdykov, and their former professors. They walked through the familiar corridors and classrooms, visited laboratories, and participated in an organized game in one of them. A pleasant trip down memory lane awaited in the auditorium, where photographs from their student years were displayed on a large screen, followed by a heartfelt concert performed by current students.
Zarema Abdullina, the head of the Alumni Relations Department at Energo University, noted that such events have become a cherished tradition at the university. Each event is unique and aims to unite the alumni around the institution. The climax of this year's Alumni Club ENERGO activities will be the alumni ball scheduled for the end of May. The exact date will be announced later. Stay tuned for more news!
