Mathematical Olympiad-2024 at Energo University

Results of the Olympiad in higher mathematics among first-year students of Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev) have been summarized.

Following a longstanding tradition, the mathematics department organizes intellectual competitions in higher mathematics annually in spring, known as the «Mathematical Olympiad».

This year, the Olympiad for first-year students commenced on April 8th. Thirty-three students participated, tasked with solving five problems within a two-hour timeframe.

The jury comprised: Professor M.Zh. Baisalova (chairperson), Associate Professors A.Zh. Masanova and M.U. Ziyakhanov.

After reviewing the written works, the jury allocated the rankings as follows:

1st place

Anatoly Vakhovsky, student of specialization EE-23

2nd place

Bakhtiyar Amanzhol, student of specialization AU-23

3rd place

Daniyar Zakariya, student of specialization AU-23

Arslan Kalybek, student of specialization CI-23

Timur Supataev, student of specialization TI-23

Winners of the «Mathematical Olympiad-2024» will be awarded cash prizes and commendation certificates.
