The team from Energo University became a prize winner in the republican competition on the development and assembly of satellites
The winners of the prestigious «Kazrockets Satellite Design Tournament-2024», held in Astana, have been determined. The team from Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumbarbek Daukeev), SEDS-ENERGO, took second place.
As a reminder, the competition, which allowed participation of students and school pupils aged between 16 and 22, was organized by the public fund for rocketry and aviation modeling in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, KAZROCKETS, with the support of Energo University and the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The preliminary round, which saw the participation of over 250 teams, was conducted in an online format. Participants were required to correctly fill out technical documents, write program code, and create a 3D model of the satellite using SolidWorks. Two teams from Energo University, SEDS-J and SEDS-ENERGO, made it to the top ten finalists.
The final competition took place in Astana in the form of a hackathon. In a fierce battle, the SEDS-ENERGO team, composed of students from the Institute of Communication and Space Engineering, secured second place! Congratulations to Maria Fedotova, Gulmira Zhulamanova, and Aruzhan Mustafanova on their victory, and we wish them further success in reaching new heights!
