Energo University held a meeting with representatives of the Consulate General of the People Republic of China in Almaty
Options for cooperation in the field of higher education, science and high technologies were discussed at Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev) with representatives of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Aibek Zhupankhan, Chief Director for Digitalization and Innovation Olzhas Makhambetov and representatives of institutes from Energo University. The Chinese side was represented by Consul for Science and Technology Zhang Wei, who had previously visited AUPET, and newly appointed Consul for Education Huang Xiaoming.
The parties discussed the possibilities and prospects of cooperation with leading universities and high-tech companies in China, noting that Energo University is already working productively with a number of Chinese corporations. Thus, one of the strongest Huawei ICT Academy in Kazakhstan operates at the university, our teachers are its certified trainers, and students studying at its base annually take prizes at Huawei international competitions. Currently, joint work is underway with another Chinese company Dahua Technology, the world's leading manufacturer and developer of video surveillance solutions, to open a special training laboratory at Energo University.
