The activities of the Industry Center for Technological Competencies at Energo University were discussed at the Ministry of Energy

In Astana, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan discussed the activities of the Industry Center for Technological Competencies in the Electric Power Industry, created this year at Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev).

The meeting with Vice-Minister of Energy Ilyas Bakytzhan was attended by representatives of the university - Vice-Rector for Research Kuanysh Alipbayev and head of the ICTC Zhubanysh Abdimuratov, as well as colleagues from Energoinform JSC.

During the meeting, the work plans of the ICTC were discussed, including the development of educational modules on intellectual energy topics for higher educational institutions of the country. In addition, reports were heard on the introduction of new energy disciplines at Energo University and the activities of the only Central Asian SIEMENS Training Center for Relay Protection, automation and Digitalization in the electric power industry and the ENERGYNET.LAB Laboratory, designed to train specialists in the field of digital energy, opened on the basis of the university.

The meeting participants discussed the progress in the creation of a Center for Advanced Training for Active Power engineers, noting the importance of cooperation between Energo University and the Moscow Power Engineering Institute Research University.
