First-year students at Energo University discussed issues of integrity and academic honesty

At Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev), a Unified Hour dedicated to integrity and academic honesty was held from September 3 to 4 as part of Orientation Week for first-year students.

The head of the university's compliance department, Saltanat Tleugalikyzy, gave an introductory presentation for students, advisors, faculty, and administrative staff.

Participants learned about their rights and opportunities, internal regulations, the Student Code of Ethics, and the Academic Honesty Policy.

During the event, Saltanat Tleugalikyzy explained that to ensure internal control over the compliance of the university’s activities with legislative requirements, principles of pedagogical ethics, and internal rules and procedures, we have a compliance department. Students, faculty, staff, and partners of Energo University can contact this department in cases of discrimination, unethical behavior towards them, or any known violations of the law, including instances of corruption.
