Energo University and Alageum Electric agreed to deepen cooperation
On September 11, Energo University Rector Gani Nygymentov and Chairman of the Board of Alageum Electric Management Company Nurzhan Stvaev discussed the opportunities and prospects for collaboration between the country's leading energy university and the well-known Kazakhstan electrical engineering company, agreeing to deepen their cooperation.
During the meeting, Gani Nygymentov emphasized the importance of active interaction between the university and the industrial sector in several areas, including workforce training (from vocational specialties and bachelor's degrees to the industrial PhD level), joint scientific research, the development of educational and laboratory facilities, and offering students extensive opportunities to undergo internships at operating enterprises.
Cooperation with such a major company as Alageum Electric is a great honor for us and opens wide prospects in both the preparation of personnel and the development of science for the benefit of Kazakhstan, - emphasized Energo University Rector Gani Nygymentov.
In turn, Chairman of the Board of Alageum Electric Management Company Nurzhan Stvaev noted that many of the company's employees, including top management, are graduates of Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications, highlighting the university's significant role in training specialists for the industry.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed. The parties agreed to actively work together, including developing a dual education system for Alageum Electric employees, opening university departments and college units directly at operating enterprises, providing training for the company’s engineering staff under grant support in the "Industrial PhD" direction, and jointly working on scientific projects.
