Goals

      LO-1. Able to effectively use modern computer and information technologies, digital tools, and software for solving scientific and technical problems in power engineering. Skilled in modeling elements of power systems and working with Rastr Win, PS CAD, and MATLAB.

LO-2. Capable of enhancing and developing intellectual level through knowledge of philosophy of science, higher education pedagogy, foreign languages, and management psychology. Able to independently acquire new knowledge and broaden scientific worldview.

LO-3. Demonstrates theoretical and practical knowledge in modern diagnostics and testing of power equipment, improving reliability and quality of electricity, and electromagnetic compatibility in power systems.

LO-4. Proficient in digital automatic control systems in power systems and electric drives, programming, diagnostics and tuning of frequency-controlled drives, and conducting research using MATLAB Simulink.

LO-5. Demonstrates knowledge of operating modes calculations of power plants and electrical networks, loss reduction methods, line element calculations, surge protection, modern relay protection, and emergency automation.

LO-6. Shows project management skills for implementing tools and methods for power system stability, modernization of equipment, automation, and efficient operation of power stations and networks.

LO-7. Capable of developing measures for energy and resource conservation, implementing renewable energy sources in standalone and system modes, and adapting new energy-saving technologies and storage systems in power facilities and other industries.

LO-8. Shows knowledge of scientific management of power enterprises, demand forecasting for electricity and capacity, innovation strategy development and implementation, technical and economic efficiency analysis, and use of CAD systems and applied programs for research and design.

LO-9. Able to independently analyze scientific and technical problems in power systems, find information from international networks, plan and conduct experiments, and process and present research results.

      LO-10. Capable of conducting academic teaching and scientific research, delivering classroom sessions, preparing master’s theses and research projects with appropriate methodology
