Goals
The research and teaching Master's program in "Automation and Control" is designed to train specialists in the development of intelligent control systems, robotics, and automated technologies. The program covers modern control methods, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and industrial automation, along with teaching methodologies for engineering disciplines. Graduates gain competencies for scientific research, academic teaching, and working in high-tech industries.
- LO-1. Know the main stages of the scientific research process. Own the basics of TIPS and methods of research;
- LO -2. Master the methods of diagnostics and analysis of the reliability of automation systems, taking into account the characteristics of their qualitative and quantitative indicators.
- LO-3 Know the calculation of CS parameters, the procedures for the analytical design of regulators.
- LO-4. Demonstrate readiness for pedagogical, scientific and methodological work and research activities in the field of professional training. Demonstrate the ability for active social mobility, for independent learning of new research methods, for changing the scientific or industrial profile of one's professional activity in the process of changing the socio-cultural and social conditions of activity.
- LO -5. Possess basic methods of control theory: synthesis of variable structure systems, modal control, identification and adaptation et al.
- LO -6. Possess the skills of software and stabilizing optimal control and synthesis of intelligent control systems.
- LO -7. Know the features of digital control systems. To be able to synthesize digital controllers in the automation of production processes;
- LO -8. Possess basic methods: data mining, descriptive analysis, correlation and regression analysis, and others.
- LO -9. To have the skills to create MES-systems that provide interaction subsystems in order to obtain and transfer technology and control data.
- LO -10. To possess the skills of building microprocessor systems of control (MSC). To be able to design hardware and software of MSC.
Graduates of the Master’s program work in engineering, research, and managerial positions in the fields of automation, control systems, and industrial digitalization.
They are employed in leading oil and gas, energy, mining, and industrial companies, including:
