Train highly qualified specialists in information security who can tackle complex challenges related to protecting, securely storing, transmitting, and processing information. Graduates will leverage cutting-edge advancements in mathematics and information technology, utilizing modern hardware and software tools.

  • Develops comprehensive solutions to assess application resilience against unauthorized access.
  • Administers security event management systems and information protection tools for computer systems and networks.
  • Applies fundamental knowledge in mathematics, natural sciences, humanities, socio-economics, and law within an interdisciplinary context.
  • Masters production organization methods and safety regulations to solve engineering problems in the professional field.
  • Ensures the operability of application and system software with integrated security tools.
  • Installs and configures information protection tools.
  • Demonstrates expertise in computer system architecture, operating systems, and network security.
  • Implements security policies for operating systems, databases (DBMS), and application software (PPS).
  • Utilizes secure programming technologies and methods to protect information and information processes.

When I complete the Information Security Systems program, I will work in:

Students are engaged in educational laboratories equipped with modern stands, layouts, measuring instruments and computers:

-CISCO laboratory (AUPET was one of the first in Kazakhstan to receive the status of CISCO Regional Academy (2007);

-Huawei Academy is a non-profit educational program for students that fully meets the requirements of the ICT industry. This program includes an online platform for student learning, as well as various teaching methods.

-Educational and Scientific Laboratory "Security of Wireless Networks and Creation of Cryptosystems" of the Scientific and Technical Center "Problems of Information Security". As part of the implementation of the Strategy for the transformation of AUPET into a research type university until 2025, for the high-quality implementation of scientific projects, as well as the development of scientific research work of students, the laboratory was transferred to the management of the scientific and technical center "Problems of information security named after Omar Turganbek" (building B, room 311);

-information security programming laboratory located at the Doctor Web training center (building B, room 407);

-“Kaspersky Lab” laboratory, which provides AUPET students with access to the most up-to-date information about cyber threats, methods of protection against them, and allows novice specialists to participate in projects and developments of “Kaspersky Lab” even at the training stage;

-scientific and technical center "Problems of information security" named after Omar Turganbek (building B, room 411);

-infocommunication security laboratory (building B, room 414);

- laboratory of security of network technologies (building B, room 416);

- laboratory of technical means of information security (building B, room 420).
