Iskakov Askar Kezhekovich

Chair of the AUES Board of Trustees and Senior Advisor to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zhersu Corporation

Iskakov Askar Kezhekovich was born on March 27, 1956, in Almaty.

In 1978, he graduated from the Almaty Institute of Energy (now AUES), Faculty of Power Engineering, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He holds a Doctor of Technical Sciences degree.

From 1978 to 1995, his professional career was dedicated to academic and scientific work. He served as a junior researcher, senior lecturer, and associate professor at the Almaty Institute of Energy. He also completed postgraduate studies and research training at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute.

From 1995 to 2005, he held executive positions in various business organizations.

Since November 2005, he has been serving as General Director, Chairman of the Management Board, member of the Board of Directors, and subsequently Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Batys Transit” JSC.

He has been awarded the honorary titles of Distinguished Power Engineer of Kazakhstan and Distinguished Power Engineer of the CIS.
